Maintenance treatment is required to prevent recurrence. The maintenance treatment for first-time patients should not be less than 6 months, and it is recommended to take medicine all year round for patients with multiple relapses. Mania has the characteristics of recurrent episodes and requires repeated treatment. Not only does the patient insist on treatment, it is recommended that the family support the patient to reduce the chance of relapse and insist on taking medicine according to the symptoms.
