More than 240 million people in China suffer from high blood pressure and do not want cerebral hemorrhage. No matter how much you love 3 kinds of food, you must keep your mouth shut
"Doctor, save my grandma!"
Recalling what happened last week, 77-year-old Grandma Wang still has lingering fears. That morning, when she was chatting with her family, she suddenly couldn't speak clearly, and she couldn't express her words clearly, and she fainted directly after a while. The family rushed her to the hospital, and it was confirmed by examination that it was the old man's intracranial hemorrhage, which was caused by a ruptured aneurysm .
At this time, Grandma Wang was unable to move her limbs and lost consciousness.
Neurosurgery doctor Li asked the old man about his disease history. The family said that the old man suffered from high blood pressure and high blood lipids, but he can still take care of himself. The blood pressure was 136/87mmHg yesterday , which is not high .
The doctor immediately understood and explained to the family members that although 136/87mmHg did not exceed the previous "standard line for blood pressure reduction", the value was still relatively high. In addition, the elderly have other cardiovascular diseases, which may cause an aneurysm to form in the brain of the elderly. The recent sudden cold weather may cause the blood vessels with poor elasticity to rupture and bleed .
According to the relevant epidemiological data of Chinese people, the high blood pressure standard of 140/90mmHg may not be applicable.
1. Heavy news: The latest revision of hypertension standards
In November 2022, the "Chinese Hypertension Clinical Practice Guidelines 2022" jointly formulated by professional committees such as the Chinese Medical Doctor Association, the Chinese Medical Association Cardiovascular Branch, and the National Center for Cardiovascular Diseases was officially released. adjustments, including the following 4 points.
1. Definition of high blood pressure
The diagnostic line of hypertension for adults is moved forward from the original systolic blood pressure ≥ 140 and/or diastolic blood pressure ≥ 90mmHg ( 140/90mmHg ) to systolic blood pressure ≥ 130 mmHg and/or diastolic blood pressure ≥ 80mmHg ( 130/80mmHg ) .
2. Hypertension classification
According to the level of blood pressure, adult hypertensive patients are divided into grade 1 and grade 2. The blood pressure range of grade 1 is 130~139/80~89 mmHg, and the blood pressure range of grade 2 is ≥140/90mmHg.
3. Blood pressure target
The vast majority of hypertensive patients should reduce their blood pressure to below 130/80mmHg . For other patients such as elderly hypertensive patients, hypertensive patients with stroke, etc., the blood pressure target should be adjusted according to the situation.
4. Timing of treatment
First, start drug therapy earlier .
For patients with blood pressure higher than 140/90mmHg, it is recommended to start drug treatment measures immediately; for patients with blood pressure higher than 130/80mmHg accompanied by complications, organ damage or more than three risk factors, it is recommended to start drug treatment measures.
Second, start antihypertensive drug combination therapy earlier .
For patients with blood pressure ≥140/90mmHg, it is recommended to start the combined drug therapy at the initial treatment.
On the whole, the new guidelines for the diagnosis and treatment of hypertension "moved forward, early intervention" , but this revision has also caused a lot of controversy, both at the social level and in the medical field. On November 16, the Health and Medical Commission responded that the current domestic adult diagnostic criteria for hypertension have not been revised.
2. High blood pressure is the "silent killer"
The "China Cardiovascular Disease Health and Disease Report 2021" pointed out that the prevalence of cardiovascular disease in China continues to rise and has become the number one cause of death in the country . How to prevent cardiovascular disease is the top priority.
According to preliminary estimates, among the 330 million patients with cardiovascular diseases in China, 245 million patients with hypertension . Once high blood pressure has severe complications in important organs such as the heart, brain, and kidneys, it may be disabled, and the patient loses his ability to work, and long-term treatment becomes a burden; or it may cause death.
Today, high blood pressure is getting younger and younger. Why are so many people's blood pressure poorly controlled?
First, inappropriate use of antihypertensive drugs
After the diagnosis of hypertension, some patients cannot use antihypertensive drugs correctly, or they are worried about the side effects of the drugs, so they reduce or stop the drugs on their own, or they want to quickly lower the blood pressure and increase the dosage without permission, resulting in poor medication compliance. These unsystematic drug treatments will inevitably lead to excessive fluctuations in blood pressure, and various cardiovascular accidents are more likely to occur.
Second, ignoring non-drug treatments
Can antihypertensive drugs alone stabilize blood pressure? In fact, the treatment of high blood pressure " half by drugs, half by lifestyle ." If you do not change your bad living habits, antihypertensive drugs will have little effect. Only by taking healthy life and taking medicine at the same time can blood pressure be stabilized in the normal range .
Third, do not pay attention to high blood pressure
Especially young people, who firmly believe that they are strong and strong, do not care about the rise in blood pressure, and even think that they can "carry over it". In fact, this is a wrong idea! If hypertension is not properly treated and controlled, the risk of various cardiovascular diseases will gradually increase.
3. To stay away from complications, eat less of several types of food
As mentioned above, high blood pressure causes serious complications such as heart failure, coronary heart disease, and stroke. For patients who want to stay away from complications, it is recommended to eat less of these three types of food.
1. High-salt foods such as pickles and preserves
High-salt foods can increase sodium ion levels in the body, affect osmotic pressure and increase blood volume. At the same time, high-salt food will also narrow the blood vessel cavity, accelerate the aging of blood vessels, and cause blood pressure to rise. The daily diet of hypertensive patients is not so much salt control as sodium control. Therefore, chicken essence, monosodium glutamate, pickles, candied fruit, etc. with high sodium content should be eaten less.
2. Drinks, snacks and other high-sugar foods
High-sugar foods will promote sodium ions to enter the cells, resulting in excessive sodium ions in the body, which will not only cause high blood pressure, but also cause irreversible damage to blood vessels. In addition, high-sugar foods will increase insulin levels, which can easily secondary to sympathetic nerves, leading to rapid heartbeat and increased blood pressure.
3. High-fat foods such as fried and brain flower
High-fat food will lead to increased cholesterol and blood lipid levels in the body, which are easily deposited on the blood vessel wall, causing arteriosclerosis, affecting normal blood flow, leading to abnormal blood pressure, and even plaque shedding, causing myocardial infarction and cerebral infarction.
In addition to taking antihypertensive drugs according to the doctor's advice, hypertensive patients should also develop good eating habits. Xiaojiu summarized some suggestions for everyone:
1) Low-salt diet
Pay special attention to controlling the intake of salt in daily life. It is recommended to limit it to 6g per day, and eat less pickled food at the same time.
2) Balanced nutrition
It should be based on vegetables and whole grains, while increasing the intake of protein, calcium, magnesium, and potassium, and eating fruits in moderation to achieve balanced and comprehensive nutrition.
3) Eat less high-fat food
Patients with high blood pressure should eat high-fat foods such as animal offal and braised pork with caution and not overdose.
In addition, hypertensive patients should also insist on exercising, exercise for more than half an hour 3 to 5 times a week, ensure adequate sleep, and do not stay up late.
