Cerebral infarction is coming, hands and feet prophets? Reminder: '3 abnormalities' when getting up, or warning of cerebral infarction
Aunt Wang is 50 years old this year. Half a month ago, she woke up in the morning and found that her right side was numb , and she couldn't exert herself, especially her little finger, and she couldn't move at all. At first, she thought that she was overwhelmed by sleep at night, and she could return to normal with a little exercise. Unexpectedly, after a few days, the feeling of numbness was still obvious. Aunt Wang did not dare to delay, and hurried to the hospital for examination.
In the hospital, Aunt Wang was taken aback by the results of the brain magnetic resonance imaging: cerebral infarction in the left basal ganglia!
Due to her critical condition, the doctor advised Aunt Wang to be hospitalized immediately for treatment. Afterwards, the hospital opened a green channel for Auntie Wang and performed rt-PA intravenous thrombolysis to control her condition in time. On the second day after the treatment, Aunt Wang's right hand and foot returned to normal activities, and the later rehabilitation treatment was also very smooth.
1. Smart cerebral infarction will also watch the time
Why does Aunt Wang have a cerebral infarction after getting up? It turned out that Auntie Wang suffered from high blood pressure for many years, but she always believed that her blood pressure was well controlled. Although she knew that high blood pressure might cause cerebral infarction, she did not take it to heart.
Unexpectedly, if she didn't pay attention, she developed morning high blood pressure and induced cerebral infarction.
Morning hypertension generally refers to hypertension that occurs within 1 hour after getting up in the morning, before taking medicine, and before breakfast ( measured office blood pressure ≥ 140/90 mmHg, or measured home blood pressure ≥ 135/85 mmHg ), which belongs to a kind of masked hypertension. , high incidence in the elderly, and a large increase in blood pressure , which is closely related to cardiovascular diseases such as cerebral infarction and heart disease.
Why does morning high blood pressure cause cerebral infarction?
This is because if high blood pressure continues to occur and is not controlled, the elasticity of blood vessels will become worse and worse, and the intima of blood vessels will also be damaged, resulting in gaps. After the gap appears, the cholesterol in the blood will take advantage of the deficiency and gradually accumulate, forming vascular plaque . If the disease is not controlled, the plaque becomes larger and larger and falls off, which may lead to cerebral infarction, resulting in ischemia and necrosis of brain tissue.
2. Don't think it's far from us, it's the number one killer of health
Many people have a fluke mentality, thinking that cerebral infarction and cerebral hemorrhage will not find themselves, but they are not.
According to the 2019 Lancet survey report, from 1990 to 2017, the leading cause of death among residents in 34 provinces in China was stroke , including cerebral infarction and cerebral hemorrhage.
The data released by the WHO is also shocking and thought-provoking: the incidence of stroke in China ranks first in the world, with more than 2 million deaths per year and more than 7 million existing patients. The death and disability rate of stroke is as high as 80% , which seriously threatens the life and health of residents and brings a huge medical burden.
3. There are 3 abnormalities in the morning, which may be an early warning
Therefore, middle-aged and elderly people must pay close attention to their physical conditions. If the following abnormalities appear in the morning, it may be an early warning of the body. You should be vigilant and seek medical treatment as soon as possible if necessary.
1. Limbs - unilateral numbness or weakness
Li Yanmin, deputy chief physician of the Department of Neurology, said that cerebral infarction accompanied by physical numbness is usually caused by a lateral somatosensory disorder. When I woke up in the morning, I suddenly found that one limb was numb, weak, and unable to move. At the same time, it was accompanied by drowsiness, coma and other disturbances of consciousness. It may be hemiplegia caused by cerebral infarction, and I should go to the hospital for treatment in time.
2. Facial - crooked corners of the mouth, drooling
The specific performance is that the left and right faces are asymmetrical, and the corners of the mouth are skewed, drooling, and the inability to control the facial muscles. The possibility of early cerebral infarction should be suspected. Cerebral infarction can damage the nerves in the brain, resulting in the five senses not being controlled by the brain.
3. Head - dizziness and headache
Recently , unexplained dizziness and headache symptoms have frequently occurred, which cannot be relieved after a short rest.
If you have symptoms of suspected cerebral infarction, you should go to the hospital for related examinations. Clinically, common cerebral infarction examinations include head CT, head MRI, angiography, blood tests, electrocardiogram, and transcranial Doppler ultrasonography.
4. How to prevent stroke
Cerebral infarction has the characteristics of high morbidity, high mortality, high disability rate, and high treatment cost. Especially with the change of lifestyle, more and more people are targeted by cerebral infarction, which brings a heavy burden to themselves and their families.
So, how can we prevent stroke? Xiaojiu summed up a few points to learn together.
1. Develop good living habits , have a reasonable diet, have regular meals, drink more water (1500ml to 2500ml a day), eat more vegetables and fruits, and limit the intake of greasy and high-salt foods;
2. Moderate exercise , according to personal physical conditions, insist on aerobic exercise such as jogging, dancing, cycling, or medium and high-intensity exercise such as badminton, football, and fitness;
3. Quit smoking and limit alcohol , it is a commonplace, it is best to quit drinking together;
4. Maintain an optimistic attitude , a good mood, learn to combine work and rest, and avoid being short-tempered.
5. From the perspective of medical intervention , if you suffer from hypertension, diabetes, carotid artery disease and other diseases, you should actively treat it to avoid the risk factors of cerebral infarction. You can take medicine if necessary, but you must have the guidance of a doctor.
In the treatment of cerebral infarction, recanalization and rehabilitation are very important. One of the common methods of recanalization therapy is thrombolytic therapy , that is, the use of drugs to dissolve the thrombus in the cerebral arteries, to dredge the blocked blood vessels, to restore the blood flow to normal, and to relieve the condition.
However, the effect of treatment depends on time. The best time for thrombolytic therapy is within 1 hour, and the golden time is within 4.5 hours . If thrombolysis is performed for more than 6 hours, the brain tissue may be necrotic due to ischemia, leaving sequelae.
