Zhengzhou Coercion: How to ease the coercion?
This forced feeling seems to be uncomfortable for no reason. Driven by this distress, some behavior is done, and this behavior has nothing to do with distress, so this behavior cannot alleviate distress. But the discomfort persisted, promoting some behaviors.
Method 1: Desensitization of "uncomfortable" feelings
There are many small details in life that make us feel uncomfortable, such as unwashed dishes, wrinkled skirts, messy shoes... make them more messy, and try to make yourself like this. Eat with a dirty plate, and you can comfort yourself: "If you eat dirty, you won't get sick." Wear a lapel collar to make yourself look messy. You can comfort yourself: "I am who I am, and I am what I wear." Throw your shoes and socks in the corner, and they will become what they are now. You can comfort yourself: "This is my home, and I can do what I want. No one can dictate to me." Slowly, you will move away from an extreme where you feel comfortable with your own behavior.
Method 2: Interrupt the existence of the mind and return to the existence of the body
The reason for compulsion is that the nerve cells in the brain are overactive, causing information to circulate continuously. Like a computer in an "infinite loop", its central processing unit (CPU) keeps running at high speed. What we have to do at this point is reboot and force stop. Try stretching the skin with a rubber band if it's safe, and use the pain to divert attention from the mind to the body. Repeat multiple times until the "infinite loop" ends.
Method 3: Give up confrontation and feel all "existence"
When we are fighting against some obsessive thoughts and behaviors, we actually have a lot of denial, panic and resistance to these parts. When instead of denying, we touch, see, and allow, the source of the pain disappears. Specifically, when we are trying to control ourselves not to think about one thing, do you realize that you have never thought about it so intently, or created this image in your brain so intently? Make an effort to let it happen naturally. Do you realize what water means to us as we struggle to rein in ourselves from washing our hands? Try to feel the feeling of water flowing on your fingertips, try to experience all the changes in temperature, humidity, and softness. Do you realize how important our home is to us and how secure we feel when we close our doors again and again?
