Zhengzhou coercion: how to ease coercion?
This compulsive feeling seems uncomfortable for no reason. Under the impetus of this distress, some behavior is done, and this behavior has nothing to do with the distress, so this behavior cannot alleviate the distress. But the discomfort persisted, prompting some behaviors.
Method 1: Desensitization of "Uncomfortable" Feelings
There are so many little things in life that make us feel uncomfortable, like unwashed dishes, wrinkled skirts, messy shoes... make them messier and try to be like this. Eating from a dirty plate can also self-comfort: "If you don't eat cleanly, you won't get sick." Wear a dress with a lapel to make yourself look messy. You can comfort yourself: "I am who I am, and I am what I wear." Throw your shoes and socks in the corner and they will be what they are. You can comfort yourself: "This is my home, and I can do whatever I want. No one can dictate me." Slowly, you'll come out of an extreme where you're comfortable with your actions.
Method 2: Interrupt the existence of the mind and return to the existence of the body
The reason for the compulsion is that the nerve cells in the brain are overactive, causing the information to continuously circulate. Like a computer in an "infinite loop", its central processing unit (CPU) keeps running at high speed. What we have to do at this point is reboot and force stop. If it's safe to try stretching the skin with a rubber band, use the pain to shift the focus from the mind to the body. Repeat several times until the "infinite loop" ends.
Method 3: Give up the confrontation and feel all the "existence"
When we are fighting against some obsessive thoughts and behaviors, we actually have a lot of denial, panic and resistance to these parts. When we do not deny, but touch, see, and allow, the source of suffering disappears. Specifically, when we are trying to control ourselves from thinking about one thing, do you realize that you have never been so focused on thinking about this issue, or so focused on generating this image in your brain? Try to make it happen naturally. Do you realize what water means to us as we struggle to control ourselves from not washing our hands? Try to feel the water flowing at your fingertips, try to experience all the changes in temperature, humidity, softness. Did you realize how important our home is to us and how strong our sense of security is when we close our doors again and again?
