After some old people retire at home, because they have nothing to do and cannot accept the gap, they are unhappy all day and cannot find the joy of life. Over time, they are likely to develop mental illness. Once the elderly suffer from mental illness, not only their own suffering, but also their family members. The originally happy and harmonious family may become fragmented with the arrival of this disease, so it is imperative for the elderly to prevent mental illness:

  1. Actively participate in physical exercise.

After retirement, many elderly people have nothing to do at home, have no sustenance, and have no interest in life. In order to change this situation, the elderly should learn to adjust their lives and often carry out various physical exercises. Exercise not only builds bones and muscles, but also works every system of the body, including the nervous system, making it agile, flexible, and strong. Mental health and physical health affect each other. If you are healthy, your mind will improve.

  1. Cultivate various hobbies.

A monotonous and boring life will make people lose confidence in everything, easily fall into depression, cause and aggravate psychological problems, and the nervous system cannot be coordinated. Various interests and hobbies play an important role in a person's mental health, emotional coordination, and balance of neural activity.

  1. Don't be cranky.

A person should pay attention to his health, but general attention is enough. If a person pays too much attention, he is prone to self-suggestion. He often felt pain here, uncomfortable there, and always wondered if he had some kind of disease. Of course, you can't think of being sick, but if you're mentally ill and overburdened, you deviate from normal. For example, some elderly people have headaches, and they suspect that something is growing in their brains. They are irritable, unhappy, and nervous, and they are not interested in all normal activities in the outside world. Self-suggestion makes them feel that the headache is getting worse and worse, and they dare not go to the hospital for examination, for fear that they will get sick and develop neurosis.
