There is a woman in Shimenshan Town, Qufu, Shandong. To fulfill her daughter's last wish, she opened up wasteland and planted trees at the foot of Jiuxian Mountain in the north of Qufu City. For more than ten years, thousands of Huanglian trees have grown from small seedlings into forests, lush and lush.

And her daughter Yu Juan was killed by cancer 11 years ago.

The 32-year-old returnee, an outstanding young teacher at Fudan University, has a two-year-old child, a happy family and a prosperous career. This is what Yu Juan looked like before she got cancer.

All this was broken in 2009. At the beginning of October, Yu Juan suffered from unexplained low back pain. She carried it until the end of December. She was sent to the hospital for emergency treatment.

On January 2, 2010, she was diagnosed with advanced breast cancer . At this time, Yu Juan's bones were black and her spine was curved. She has lost the chance of surgery and can only rely on chemotherapy and drugs to maintain her life.

In the days of fighting the disease, she published more than 70 diaries on her blog, analyzing why she was found by cancer, she wrote: "It doesn't make any sense to me to do this, but it may mean to the people around me. It will play a role in preventing micro-prevention, and I don't want to see this happen to anyone."

Yu Juan fought cancer for more than a year and passed away on April 19, 2011. This diary can also be regarded as her last words, her "advice" to everyone.

01. About eating

In terms of food, Yu Juan has never been a person who refuses to try new things. Her father is a chef. She has eaten all kinds of things, such as peacocks, seagulls, whales, puffer fish, and five-step snakes... Not only does she eat a variety of things, but she also eats a lot. Yu Juan's temperament is straightforward, and she always has to eat a meal to be enjoyable. I once ate 7 crabs a day when my cancer metastasized to bone.

Then this kind of overeating is not good for health . Overeating will overload the body's liver and pancreas. Eating too fast and too full may cause dizziness, trance, and gastrointestinal discomfort.

In addition, many studies have shown that eating less can lead to longer life . As the saying goes, if you eat seven points full, how can you count as seven points full? It means that when you eat, you feel that your stomach is not full, but the speed of eating and the feeling of hunger have decreased. At this time, you can choose to stop eating.

Before she got sick, Yu Juan was a meatless person. If there are no meat dishes on the table, it will feel dull and tasteless.

A University of Oxford study involving 500,000 people found that high consumption of unprocessed red and processed meat was associated with a risk of heart disease, pneumonia, colon polyps, diabetes and more . Eating too much meat can easily cause various digestive burdens.

A reasonable diet structure should be "two highs and one low" : high in vitamins, high in fiber, and low in fat. Eat more fresh fruits and vegetables, coarse grains, and control the intake of red meat such as pigs, cattle, and sheep.

02. About sleeping

Yu Juan is a typical "night owl", recalling the past 10 years, she basically never slept before 12 o'clock, and even stayed up all night when she was very bad, and usually went to bed early before 1 o'clock in the morning.

At the beginning of staying up late, my body didn't respond much, at most I felt sleepy. However , staying up late for a long time will affect the body's immune function , which is manifested as acne on the skin, arthritis on the joints, and nephritis on the kidneys... The human body is in a sub-health state, and various minor problems are easier to find.

The definition of staying up late in medicine has always been controversial, mainly because of individual differences in biological clocks. However, it is generally believed that 9:00 to 11:00 pm is the time for the recovery of the human immune system. If you fall asleep after 23:00, you will stay up late.

After she became ill, Yu Juan changed her sleep schedule, went to bed early every day, and started eating cereals and B vitamins. This also made her second chemotherapy treatment and found that her liver function had completely returned to normal.

03. About overwork

Looking back on the first half of her life at the age of 30, she said that she was an uncompromising 2W girl, a girl who would study hard only two weeks before the exam.

Because my self-control is not strong, but I am very competitive, I often start preparing when things are about to end. Before the exam, she studied at her desk day and night. She remembered that she read books for 21 hours a day and read it for two and a half days before taking the exam.

When the body is overloaded with work, fatigue accumulates in the body, and a "overworked state" gradually appears. Over time , changes in blood pressure and weakened immunity may occur . In severe cases, fatal conditions such as myocardial infarction and cerebral hemorrhage may be found.

04. About the environment

Yu Juan lived in a relative's new house in Pudong for a period of time after finishing her undergraduate degree. The house was newly renovated and the furniture was new. At that time, Yu Juan realized that the room had a smell and moved in two months later. However, a few years later, when Yu Juan's husband was experimenting with these furniture, the formaldehyde tester showed 0.87. Only then did I find that even after so long, the formaldehyde in the furniture that was not used much in the room exceeded the standard.

Formaldehyde is the most common pollutant in interior decoration and the most likely to exceed the standard. It is also clearly listed as a class 1 carcinogen. Studies have found that it is related to nasopharyngeal cancer and may induce leukemia.

Formaldehyde is colorless and odorless, but the individual's perception of formaldehyde is quite different. Some people will feel dry eyes, stinging eyes, tearing, etc. after exposure, but some people do not have much reaction. Obviously, it is not reliable to judge whether formaldehyde exceeds the standard through our nose .

In view of the problem of formaldehyde in the home environment, materials with low formaldehyde content and national environmental protection standards should be selected as far as possible when decorating. The first year after residential decoration is the peak period of volatile gases such as formaldehyde. The most effective way to reduce formaldehyde is to open windows for ventilation . It is best for new houses to be ventilated for one year.

Yu Juan used her own experience to warn the living people that those bad habits that you don't care about are likely to bring disaster to your health. You only have one life, don't let yourself regret it, your health is more important than anything else.
