Have you ever seen a couple who "flashed out" after 3 days of marriage? Recently, Xiao Jiu saw such a case on the Internet, which was embarrassing.

Ms. Sun and her husband, Mr. Liu (both pseudonyms), started dating in college. After graduation, Ms. Sun experienced studying abroad and returning to work. After dating for almost ten years, they finally got married last year and entered the next stage of their lives.

But on the third day after the marriage, Mr. Liu continued to have a high fever and went to the hospital for treatment, but the doctor could not find out the specific cause. Doctors then advised him to be screened for infectious diseases, which turned out to be positive for both syphilis and HIV .

Ms. Sun couldn't believe her eyes. She felt that their relationship had always been strong. How could this be? But after going to 3 hospitals, all the results were the same, so she had to accept the reality .

At that time, Mr. Liu had already developed relevant symptoms and complications. According to speculation, he had been infected a long time ago, and there was a risk of infecting Ms. Sun. Fortunately, Ms. Sun 's HIV antibody test was negative.

Under Ms. Sun 's questioning, Mr. Liu admitted that he had bad behavior before marriage. Ms. Sun regretted that she didn't have a pre-marital check-up, and then she filed a divorce lawsuit, and finally got a " marriage invalid " judgment, which avoided a tragedy.

1. After being infected with AIDS, can I hide it from my spouse?

In our daily lives, we often see similar news reports that couples only find out that each other has an infectious disease after they get married. Some people say that diseases are personal privacy and can not be disclosed to others. Is this true?

the answer is negative.

Open the "Civil Code", there is such a regulation: If one party suffers from a serious illness, the other party should be truthfully informed before the marriage registration ; if the other party does not tell the truth, the other party can apply for annulment of the marriage. If the marriage is invalid or revoked, the innocent party has the right to claim damages from the other party .

If the spouse conceals the illness to marry or live with the other party, causing harm to his health, according to the provisions of the "Criminal Law", he will be punished accordingly .

In addition, Article 38 of China's "Regulations on AIDS Prevention and Control" clearly stipulates that HIV-infected persons and AIDS patients are obliged to inform their sexual partners of the fact of infection or disease in a timely manner . Therefore, whether you are about to enter a marriage relationship or are already in a marriage relationship, you should not conceal your disease history from your spouse , especially serious diseases that are contagious such as AIDS.

2. The number of AIDS patients in China exceeds one million, and three groups are the focus

According to data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the number of people infected with HIV in China has exceeded 1.05 million, with a total of 351,000 deaths. The analysis found that there are three types of groups with significantly higher infection rates, which need to be paid attention to.

1. Men who have sex with men

A data analysis involving 571,328 people in 59 cities in 30 provinces in China showed that from 2001 to 2018, the overall HIV prevalence rate among Chinese men who have sex with men was about 5.7%, and they belonged to the highest risk group.

Another survey shows that men who have sex with men still have very low awareness and willingness to use pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) and post-exposure prophylaxis ( PEP ), which may be related to factors such as high drug prices, continuous use, and fear of side effects.

2. Elderly men

In the past 10 years, the HIV infection rate of Chinese elderly men has shown a clear upward trend .

According to the China National Center for AIDS/STD Prevention and Control, in 2010, the proportion of newly reported positive cases among elderly men in China was 7.41%, but by 2020, this proportion had risen to 18.21%, a 2.5-fold increase.

According to data released by the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, the proportion of newly reported HIV-infected persons and patients in China every year, the proportion of people aged 50 and over has risen from 22% in 2011 to 44% in 2020, and the upward trend is obvious.

These data show that the situation of HIV infection among middle-aged and elderly people is not optimistic and needs to be paid attention to.

3. Young student groups

Wu Zunyou, an expert from the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, said that from 2011 to 2015, the proportion of new HIV infections among young students aged 15-24 increased by an average of about 35% per year, and sexual transmission accounted for 98.6% .

In recent years, the rate of increase has slowed down, but more than 3,000 students are still infected every year, and the number is still increasing. It is worth noting that the number of girls infected with HIV has also increased in the past five years.

3. If you want to stay away, don’t do 3 things

The way of AIDS transmission is the exchange of bodily fluids, including semen, blood, milk, private parts secretions, cerebrospinal fluid and brain tissue fluid of those with neurological symptoms. Therefore, we should avoid the following three behaviors in our daily life.

1. High-risk sexual behavior

High-risk sexual behavior refers to the behavior of exchanging bodily fluids with a non-fixed partner or multiple partners, including: unprotected sex without any protection measures, multi-partner sex (whether wearing a condom or not), unsolicited Condom sex.

2. Informal invasive operations

Informal invasive operations include sharing syringes with others , using unsterilized instruments in informal medical institutions for invasive operations such as tooth extraction, tattooing, and blood transfusion .

3. No post-exposure prophylaxis after high-risk sex

AIDS post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP for short) refers to the measures taken by HIV-negative people to reduce the risk of infection by taking antiviral drugs in a timely manner after suspected HIV infection.

It is recommended to take PEP drugs for prevention as soon as possible after HIV exposure (preferably within 2 hours, and no later than 72 hours) . The earlier the drug is taken, the better the blocking effect , and it needs to be taken consistently for 28 days. While taking the medicine and monitoring, it is imperative to practice safe sex and safe injecting behaviors to avoid re-exposure to HIV.

If you don't want to get AIDS, you must do a good job of prevention every day. If you are unfortunately infected, you should also inform your partner in a timely and truthful manner, and do not deceive or conceal it.
