After three days of marriage, the husband had an AIDS attack, the high fever persisted, and the wife collapsed and regretted
Have you ever seen a couple who "flash away" after 3 days of marriage? Recently, Xiao Jiu saw such a case on the Internet, which was embarrassing.
Ms. Sun and her husband Mr. Liu (both pseudonyms) began to fall in love in college. After graduation, Ms. Sun went abroad to study and return to work. After nearly ten years of dating, they finally got married last year and entered the next stage of their lives.
However, on the third day after the marriage, Mr. Liu continued to have a high fever and went to the hospital for treatment, but the doctor could not find out the specific cause. Afterwards, doctors advised him to be screened for infectious diseases, and the results were positive for both syphilis and HIV .
Ms. Sun couldn't believe her eyes. She felt that their relationship had always been strong. How could this be possible? But she went to 3 hospitals and got the same results, so she had to accept the reality .
At that time, Mr. Liu had already developed related symptoms and complications. It is speculated that he had been infected a long time ago, and there was a risk of infecting Ms. Sun. Fortunately, Ms. Sun 's HIV antibody test came back negative.
Under the questioning of Ms. Sun Mr. Liu admitted that he had bad behavior before marriage. Ms. Sun regretted that she had not conducted a pre-marital examination, and then she filed a divorce lawsuit and finally got a " marriage null and void " judgment, avoiding a tragedy.
1. After being infected with HIV, can I hide it from my spouse?
In life, we often see similar news reports that couples only find out that the other has an infectious disease after they get married. Some people say that diseases are personal privacy and can not be disclosed to others. Is this true?
the answer is negative.
Open the "Civil Code", there is such a stipulation: If one party suffers from a serious illness, it should truthfully inform the other party before the marriage registration ; if it is not informed, the other party can apply for annulment of the marriage. If the marriage is invalid or revoked, the innocent party has the right to request the other party to compensate for the damage .
If a spouse conceals his illness and marries or lives with the other, causing harm to his health , he will be punished accordingly according to the provisions of the Criminal Law .
In addition, Article 38 of China's "AIDS Prevention and Control Regulations" clearly stipulates that HIV-infected persons and AIDS patients are obliged to promptly inform their sexual partners of the fact of infection or disease . Therefore, whether you are about to enter a marriage relationship or are already in a marriage relationship, you should not hide your medical history from your spouse , especially if you are a serious infectious disease like AIDS.
2. The number of AIDS patients in China exceeds one million, and 3 groups are the focus
According to data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the number of people infected with HIV in China has exceeded 1.05 million, and a total of 351,000 people have died. The analysis found that the infection rate of three groups increased significantly, which should be paid attention to.
1. Men who have sex with men
An analysis of data involving 571,328 people in 59 cities in 30 provinces in China showed that between 2001 and 2018, the overall prevalence of HIV among Chinese men who had sex with men was about 5.7%, belonging to the highest risk group.
Another survey showed that men who have sex with men still have extremely low awareness and willingness to use pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) and post-exposure prophylaxis ( PEP ), which may be related to factors such as high drug prices, continued use, and concerns about side effects.
2. Older men
In the past 10 years, the HIV infection rate among older Chinese men has shown a clear upward trend .
In 2010, the proportion of newly reported positive cases among older Chinese men was 7.41%, but by 2020, the proportion had risen to 18.21%, a 2.5-fold increase, according to China's National Center for AIDS/STD Prevention and Control.
According to the data released by the China CDC, among the newly reported HIV-infected persons and patients in China every year, the proportion of people aged 50 and over has increased from 22% in 2011 to 44% in 2020, showing an obvious upward trend.
These data show that the HIV infection situation among middle-aged and elderly people is not optimistic and needs attention.
3. Young students
Wu Zunyou, an expert from the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, said that between 2011 and 2015, the proportion of new HIV infections among young students aged 15-24 increased by an average of about 35% every year, and sexual transmission accounted for 98.6% .
The rate of increase has slowed in recent years, but more than 3,000 students are still infected each year and are still increasing. It is worth noting that the number of HIV-infected girls has also increased in the past five years.
3. If you want to stay away, don't do 3 things
AIDS is transmitted through the exchange of bodily fluids, including semen, blood, breast milk, private secretions, cerebrospinal fluid, and brain tissue fluids of those with neurological symptoms. Therefore, we should avoid the following three behaviors in our daily life.
1. High-risk sexual behavior
High-risk sex refers to the exchange of bodily fluids with a non-regular partner or multiple partners, including: unsafe sex without any protection, multi-partner sex (with or without condoms), unsafe sex with an unfamiliar partner. Condom Sex.
2. Informal invasive operations
Informal invasive operations include sharing syringes with others, using unsterilized instruments for tooth extraction, tattooing, blood transfusion and other invasive operations in informal medical institutions .
3. No post-exposure prophylaxis after high-risk sex
Post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP) refers to the measures taken by HIV-negative persons who are suspected of HIV infection to take antiviral drugs in time to reduce the risk of infection.
It is recommended to take PEP drugs as soon as possible after HIV exposure for prevention (preferably within 2 hours, no more than 72 hours at the latest ) . During medication and monitoring, safe sex and safe injection practices must be adopted to avoid re-exposure to HIV.
If you don't want to get AIDS, you should do a good job of prevention every day. If you are unfortunately infected, you should also inform your partner promptly and truthfully, and do not deceive or conceal.
