Since the age of 13, he has been addicted to fitness, from a small fat man to a muscular man , and also obtained 2 degrees related to diet and health. Usually, he likes to share his fitness and diet experience on the Internet, which is loved by netizens. Due to extreme self-discipline and obsession with fitness, his muscle lines are perfect, and his body fat rate is almost 5% .

However, such a person who was keen on fitness and exercise died suddenly of heart failure at the age of 27.
On March 1, Scott 's family held a funeral for him, and netizens began to reflect on his way of life while cherishing their memory . Some bloggers pointed out that there are certain problems with his lifestyle, especially excessive exercise, which is a very important factor.
Judging from his training routine, in order to achieve the ideal body fat, he often trains profusely, his hands and feet tremble, and he consumes about 5,000 calories per day, far exceeding the medically recommended range . Also, he spends a lot of time working out, sleeps only 3 or 4 hours a day, and probably never really relaxes.

A combination of factors has led to this tragedy, which is regrettable...
1. I often hear that fitness experts die suddenly, why?

In recent years, there have been frequent reports of sudden death during exercise on the Internet . Is "life lies in exercise" a lie? Can exercise cause sudden death?
In fact, these situations are likely to be classified as " exercise-induced sudden death " .
Exercise-induced sudden death refers to accidental death that occurs during exercise or within 24 hours after exercise. 80% of sudden deaths are caused by coronary heart disease, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, myocarditis and other cardiac diseases , 15% are brain-derived diseases,5 % for other reasons.
Most people who experience sudden death from exercise have heart disease but do not know it, and usually have no symptoms, but there is a potential risk of sudden death during strenuous exercise.
So, who are at greater risk of sudden death from exercise? There are mainly 2 situations.
Age > 35 years old with coronary heart disease.
Age < 35 years old, with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, congenital coronary artery malformation , cardiac shock, pre-excitation syndrome and coronary heart disease and other diseases.
However, Xiao Jiu should be clear that under normal circumstances, exercise is good for the heart , and the possibility of sudden death is extremely small. We need to avoid excessive exercise and pay attention to abnormal physical symptoms, which is the right thing to do.
2. Pay attention to 6 body signals or signs of sudden death
Before sudden death, many people ignore abnormal symptoms and miss the chance for rescue. So, what signals does the body send out when sudden death occurs?
Frequent palpitation and a higher risk of developing ventricular fibrillation, which can lead to sudden death in just a few minutes after the occurrence of ventricular fibrillation;
The heartbeat is too slow , which is common in the elderly. If the heart rate is less than 50 beats/min and the blood pressure is low, seek medical attention in time;
· Limb numbness . When a stroke occurs, the disease progresses rapidly and can lead to numbness or even paralysis of the patient's limbs within a few minutes. Especially in patients with high blood pressure and coronary heart disease, if they have symptoms such as blurred vision, numbness and weakness of limbs, etc., they should seek medical treatment in time.

1. Sudden increase in physical activity
If you don’t exercise normally, if you exercise too much, the muscles and tendons of the body will not adapt and damage the organs of the body. In severe cases, it may also lead to rhabdomyolysis , resulting in acute renal failure. In addition, excessive exercise increases the risk of underlying cardiovascular disease.
2. Not getting enough rest
Adequate rest is essential in order to achieve optimal exercise results. Sleep gives your muscles and body time to repair and reduces inflammation, injury and stress . Not getting enough sleep can lead to a decline in muscle strength and can affect motivation. It is recommended to ensure 7 hours of sleep a day , and a good night's sleep is sometimes more important than exercise.
