Why do some people get cancer and others don't? What can be done to reduce the risk of cancer? Do these 4 things

As we all know, the human body is made up of various cells . As long as the human body is still alive, the body is metabolizing all the time, and more than 10 billion soybeans are regrown every day.

  In the process of cell renewal, as long as there is an error in DNA replication, gene mutation may be caused, and some cells may become cancer cells. It is also because of this that some relevant studies have pointed out that in this life , everyone has a 20% chance of developing cancer.

  The reason why not everyone will eventually develop cancer is affected by many aspects. This includes their own physical fitness, the strength and weakness of immune function, genetics, age and so on. In addition , more or less exposure to acquired carcinogens, and whether there are other carcinogenic factors in the body are also the key to determining whether cancer is found.

  So the question is, what can we do in our daily life to reduce the risk of cancer?

  1. Treat illness in time

  If there is a chronic disease in the body, especially chronic inflammation of the organs, if the disease is not properly controlled , the cells will be in a long-term inflammatory state, repeatedly damaged and repaired, and the immune function will decline, which will increase the risk of cancer in the future .

  For example , ulcerative colitis and intestinal cancer, atrophic gastritis and gastric cancer, viral hepatitis and liver cancer are closely related. Therefore, as long as it is diagnosed as a chronic disease, everyone should cooperate with the doctor for treatment and regular review;

2. Eat a healthy diet

  A healthy diet can actually be divided into two parts. The first is to maintain healthy eating habits, that is, regular and fixed meals, balanced nutrition and light diet, control of calorie intake, and avoidance of hot food .

  The second point is to choose healthy food. You must know that some foods may seem delicious, but they contain certain carcinogenic substances, such as betel nut, Chinese salted fish, processed meat, smoked barbecue, fried food , etc. Eating large amounts can increase the risk of cancer in the future. Therefore, everyone should reduce the intake of such foods and choose healthy vegetables, protein, and coarse and fine grains;

3. Stay away from bad behavior

  In addition to diet, many bad habits in life may also become a breakthrough for cancer. For example , long-term sedentary causes obesity, long-term smoking and drinking, long-term staying up late to sleep, long-term mental stress but not adjusting and so on.

  The emphasis here is on smoking and alcoholism. Whether it is cigarettes or alcohol, they have already been listed as Type 1 carcinogens by the WHO . They are closely related to a variety of cancers, but are long-term exposure and future The chances of getting cancer will also increase.

  Therefore, it is necessary to actively quit smoking and drinking, maintain regular sleep habits, control weight gain, and maintain an optimistic and cheerful attitude from now on;

4. Regular physical examination

  The physical examination can be divided into two main points for discussion. The first is to conduct regular physical examinations. Although these physical examination items cannot detect early cancer, they can diagnose some chronic diseases, and after the diagnosis, they can get effective treatment.

  The second is that high-risk groups regularly conduct targeted cancer prevention screening, such as those with chronic diseases, family history of cancer, and people over the age of 50. Regular cancer prevention screening can detect early precancerous lesions, in situ cancer , lest the cancer go to the point of irreversibility.

  Finally, I would like to remind everyone that cancer has never been a terminal or incurable disease in the true sense.

  From a clinical point of view, 1/3 of cancers can be prevented, 1/3 of cancers can be clinically cured through early detection, and 1/3 of cancers can be treated to prolong life and improve the quality of life of patients.

  Therefore, it is very necessary for everyone to do the above points in daily life.
