According to the current clinical information, cancer is a chronic disease induced by multiple factors. Its onset is related to objective factors such as genetics, age, gender, etc. Acquired carcinogen exposure, unhealthy diet and living habits, environment and chronic diseases , etc.

  Yes, food does provide various nutrients to the human body, but some foods have also been included in the list of carcinogens, especially the following types of food, it is necessary to stay away now:

1. Betel nut

This food is the third most addictive consumer product after cigarettes and alcohol , and it is also included in the ranks of a class of carcinogens, which are closely related to the incidence of oral cancer.

  The reason for this is that betel nut contains a lot of crude fiber and alkaloids, which can cause mechanical damage to oral tissue , and arecoline can also destroy healthy oral cells. In the case of repeated cell damage, it will increase the chance of future cancer;

  2. Chinese style salted fish

  Salted fish, as the name suggests, is fish that has been marinated with salt and dried in the sun. It has a salty taste and a strong and special smell. However, in 2017, Chinese-style salted fish was listed as a class 1 carcinogen .

  The reason for this is that during the pickling process, nitrite can decompose with the protein in the pickled products and produce amine reactions to form nitrosamines , which are highly carcinogenic and harmful substances . Whether this carcinogen is ingested in a large amount at one time or in a small amount for a long time, it will increase the risk of cancer, and it is closely related to esophageal cancer, liver cancer, gastric cancer, etc.;

3. Processed meat

  The so-called processed meat refers to the meat with improved taste and extended shelf life after salting, smoking, grilling, frying and other processing methods, such as ham and bacon, which are typical processed meats.

  In 2015, the World Health Organization listed processed meat as a first-class carcinogen, based on sufficient evidence showing that there is a close relationship between processed meat and colorectal cancer. Eating 50 grams of processed meat a day increases the risk of colorectal cancer by about 18%;

  4. Food above 65°C

  Many Chinese residents have the habit of eating while it is hot, but precisely because of this habit, it will also become a breakthrough for cancer. Because the mucous membrane of the human digestive tract is actually very fragile, when the food temperature is too high, it may cause mild burns to the mucous membrane at the moment of contact with the mucous membrane.

  Although the mucous membrane can repair itself, in the case of repeated eating of hot food and repeated damage , it may cause chronic digestive tract diseases, such as inflammation, ulcers, and erosion . In the later stage, it may even develop into intestinal metaplasia and dysplasia , which in turn increases the possibility of canceration.

  The above types of foods are all on the list of carcinogens. Of course, this does not mean that as long as everyone comes into contact with this kind of food, they will cause cancer. Any relationship between carcinogens and cancer is based on long-term and large-scale exposure.

  However, after all, there are risks in food. For future health considerations, it is still necessary to reduce or quit these foods from now on.
