What is adenomyosis? Remind women: 3 symptoms in the body, indicating that it has come to the door

The "uterus" is the first "house" that human beings come to this world, and it can't be bought with money!

  From a clinical point of view, the uterus is one of the most important reproductive organs of women, and it is also an indispensable organ for fertility. However, the uterus itself is also very fragile and vulnerable to injury and various diseases.

  In the past, the uterine-related diseases that everyone was familiar with were mostly uterine fibroids, endometritis or cancer , etc. When it comes to adenomyosis, it is often unfamiliar.

  In fact, adenomyosis is similar to endometriosis. They are both common and difficult diseases in gynecology. It refers to the invasion of the original glands and interstitial tissues of the endometrium into the myometrium , eventually forming erosions . or limited disease .

  Relevant studies have shown that the disease mostly occurs in multipartum women aged 30 to 50 , but young unmarried women may also suffer from the disease, which may be related to the increase in various uterine cavity operations .

  However, so far, the etiology of adenomyosis is still not completely clear. In clinical view, its appearance is mostly related to the lack of submucosa of the uterus, the proliferation of basal cells of the endometrium, and the invasion of the myometrium . In Chinese clinical practice, nearly 15% of patients are combined with endometriosis, and nearly 50% of patients are combined with uterine fibroids.

  So the question is, what are the symptoms of adenomyosis when it finds itself?

  1. Irregular menstruation

  A completely healthy woman will have her first menarche around the age of 12-16. In the following months, the menstrual period is often unstable, which is related to the underdevelopment of the ovaries. As the ovaries and uterus mature, a woman's menstrual cycle becomes more stable , forming a unique pattern.

  However, when the disease of adenomyosis finds itself, the menstrual regularity may be broken . Nearly 40-50% of patients in China have irregular menstruation , which is mainly manifested as prolonged menstrual period and increased menstrual flow. Some patients also show vaginal spotting before and after menstruation , and in severe cases, patients may even develop anemia because of this;

2. Do not ignore dysmenorrhea

  Under normal circumstances, physiological dysmenorrhea generally occurs in adolescent, unmarried women. In particular, it occurs 1-2 years after menarche, which manifests as lower abdominal pain with regular menstrual cycles . The reason for this is related to the increased content of prostaglandins in the endometrium during menstruation, a condition also known as physiological dysmenorrhea.

  If a woman has adenomyosis, it may also cause dysmenorrhea. Nearly 1/4 of the patients have dysmenorrhea symptoms , which are manifested as secondary and progressive dysmenorrhea. Most of the patients are before menstruation. Abdominal pain started in 1 week, and the dysmenorrhea was relieved after the menstrual period .

  In the early stage of dysmenorrhea, taking painkillers may relieve it, but as the disease progresses, the amount of drugs patients take will also increase, and dysmenorrhea is often unbearable;

3. Physical manifestations

  Under normal circumstances, when healthy women undergo gynecological examinations, the uterus shows a uniformly enlarged spherical shape, but adenomyosis is different. It manifests as a hard nodule, and the uterus generally does not exceed the size of 12 weeks of pregnancy . .

The uterus can also feel tender when approaching menstruation . After your period, the uterus becomes larger, softer, and more tender than usual. At the same time, the patient's uterus is mostly in and around, especially easy to adhere to the rectum, so the mobility is often poor . Nearly 15-40% of patients also have endometriosis .

  Judging from the current clinical data, most patients with adenomyosis have the above symptoms. However, in clinical practice in China, nearly 35% of patients have no obvious symptoms, or even have no symptoms.

  Therefore, everyone cannot arbitrarily explain the problem through symptoms. When you suspect that you have a disease, it is the correct way to seek medical examination in time.
