A WHO survey report from the late 1980s showed that in 25 countries, 5-8% of couples in developed countries were affected by infertility and could not conceive a baby naturally.

  In China, this probability is around 6-15% , and the latest assessment shows that, on average, one out of every six couples is infertile!

  Infertility can be mainly divided into two factors. The first is the existence of diseases in men, such as spermatogenesis disorders or sexual dysfunction in men . And if a woman has the following four types of diseases, it will also affect fertility:

1. Polycystic ovary syndrome

  This is a disease often caused by endocrine and metabolic abnormalities in women of reproductive age. Its clinical manifestation is chronic anovulation in women, that is, ovulatory dysfunction or loss of ovulation ability, and the level of androgen in the patient is also significantly high. in normal women .

  Affected by these two factors, women may have many problems such as irregular menstrual cycle, early amenorrhea, infertility, body weight, and acne ;

2. Endometriosis

  As the name suggests, this disease refers to the presence of endometrial tissue, such as endometrial glands or stroma, in areas other than the uterine body that have the ability to grow.

  Relevant studies have shown that ectopic endometrium can invade any part of the body, but most of them appear on the pelvic organs and parietal peritoneum, among which the ovaries and uterosacral ligaments are the most common .

  Relevant studies have shown that nearly 25-35% of all female infertility patients in China are caused by endometriosis;

3. Pelvic inflammatory disease

  Pelvic inflammatory disease does not refer to a specific kind of inflammation, but inflammation of the female upper genital tract and surrounding tissues, including endometritis, salpingitis, etc. This kind of inflammation can be limited to one part, or it may involve more than one part at the same time. part.

  If the female pelvic inflammatory disease is not treated in time, it will cause damage to the pelvic peritoneum, uterus, fallopian tubes and tissues next to the cervix, which may cause adhesion and blockage of the fallopian tubes, which will then affect the ovulation function and lead to infertility.

4. Thyroid disease

  A related research survey has shown that if the female thyroid function is too low, especially after the patient has hypothyroidism, the secretion of gonadotropin shows a pulse, but the baseline level is higher than that of the normal population, which will affect the ovary. Ovulation affects.

  Although some patients have normal estrogen levels and have normal or similar menstrual periods, they still have infertility problems.

  All in all, female infertility has many factors, in addition to disease, psychological factors may also play a role in pregnancy.

  If the couple has a normal sexual life and does not take any contraceptive measures, but still has not been pregnant for more than one year, they should be vigilant, and it is necessary for both husband and wife to seek medical examination in time.

  It is only after examination that it is possible to know what the problem is affecting the pregnancy, and then to start targeted treatment.
